Case Study
The mobile operator in Asia was faced with a mandate from the government to provide universal service to remote communities with no current mobile service. With demand predicted to be less than a single TRX at each new BTS the solution required the opex to be ultra low in order for each site to be EBITDA positive. By combining the NRS RAY with a well known TDMA hub the operator was able to achieve an low opex making the project commercially feasible by using 30% less MHz than would otherwise be required.
