EMC launches Managed Video Service

The new development is being integrated into the EMC Global WAN

MIAMI, USA – May 2010 – EMC announced the launch of its new Managed Video Service: MyEMCVideoLink™. The new application offers a fully integrated video conference service to the EMC Global WAN. Using EMC satellite technology, MyEMCVideoLink™ service spares customers the financial burden to manage, monitor and operate their own MCU (Multipoint Control Unit) and end point video equipment.

Satellite technology is the most economic way to deliver information to many sites at the same time. This characteristic makes satellite technology ideal for delivering two way video on demand and multimedia distribution.

The service is inclusive of a scheduling portal, 24/7 operator assistance, and 24/7 monitoring and control for all WAN and video services provided by EMC. EMC connectivity services are Cisco based MPLS, a critical feature which guarantees professional grade video conferencing at all times.

Enterprise grade video services are no longer a luxury item it is a necessity to operate globally. More and more customers are signing up to EMC's MyEMCVideoLink™ service, not only because it is the easiest path for them to deploy video services to all their offices, but also, because the EMC network is specifically designed to guarantee a Video type MPLS quality of service. From the hard to reach offices all the way to the Head Quarter, no matter where the office is located they will receive MyEMCVideoLink™. This feature is not possible when connecting via lower grade internet access points not capable of managing MPLS end to end.
